Self Catering Accommodation on the Black Isle
Awards and accreditations for 2009/10 |
Balinoe stands in nearly an acre of private landscaped gardens with spectacular unspoilt views. On the western edge of the Black Isle, which despite its name is not an island but a peninsula, Balinoe is close to the towns of Dingwall and Conon Bridge and although in a tranquil and peaceful location is only a 15 minute drive away from the cosmopolitan atmosphere of Inverness, one of Europe´s up and coming cities. The views across the Conon Valley from the living room, bedrooms and garden take in Ben Wyvis, one of the highest mountains in the UK, and to the east the Cromarty Firth. |

Bottlenose Dolphins, Seals and a variety of wildlife are often seen in and around the Cromarty and Moray Firths.
The area has a strong agricultural background and every year on the first Thursday in August hosts the Black Isle Show, arguably the second most important agricultural show in Scotland. Infamous Highland entertainment and hospitality are in abundance for all the family.
